A series of ritual murders shakes the small town of Bright Falls on the Pacific Northwest coast. Experienced FBI agent Saga Anderson has already solved many hopeless cases. Hunted by dark terrors, Wake struggles not to lose his mind and tries to beat the devil at his own game. Anderson and Wake struggle desperately in separate realities and yet are connected at their core in a way they do not understand: they mirror each other, repeat each other and influence the worlds that surround them. A supernatural darkness, fueled by the horror story, infests Bright Falls, corrupting its inhabitants and threatening Anderson's and Wake's loved ones.
