Phew! We did it! No more second division! But the road to get there was rocky. Before I took over the club in the Regional League as manager, the team was like a bar-room squad—lacking morale, stamina, and tactical skills. Youth development was virtually nonexistent, and the club facilities (stadium, office, training field) were in terrible shape. So first, I rolled up my sleeves and drew up training plans, signed new players, sent the youth team to training camp, hired an assistant coach and other staff, got the club facilities up to par, handled PR, and so on.
