Once an elven kingdom, Karmabüttel shuns its founders in favor of men. Mari, scorned for her pointed ears and fine features, finds friendship in Uno, a dying human boy. When she learns of a rare cure, she sets off on a quest not for revenge, but to save the one who truly saw her.
